If you are ever in the UK on the evening of 5 November, you might wonder why you hear fireworks. Well, Bonfire Night is celebrated all over the country. Guy Fawkes tried to blow up London's Houses of Parliament in 1605 because he wanted to kill King James. His attempt was not successful and the British celebrate his failed attempt with fireworks displays. We talked about Guy Fawkes night in class and made presentations on our iPads.
