HEALTHY SNACKS OUR STUDENTS ENJOY

Developing healthy eating habits is of vital importance for children as it can give them the opportunity to grow into healthy, confident adults. For this reason, we decided to work on a project related to kind, healthy snacks that children like. Snacks are an integral part of a healthy diet for active children so it is highly important for children to eat nutritious and high energy snacks. 

Our second graders were asked to write short sentences about their favourite healthy snacks and draw pictures of them. Our young learners showed special preference to fruit, vegetables and healthy beverages such as milk and fruit juice. 

Through this creative and motivating project, students were given the chance to practise their writing skills, revise vocabulary related to food that they had already been taught and become aware of the benefits of eating well and looking after their body.
