Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on 21 September. The Day's theme for 2016 is "The Sustainable Development Goals: Building Blocks for Peace".

The students in our school had the chance to talk about the importance of peace. We referred to the advantages of living in a peaceful and free country as well as the benefits of trying to protect and sustain a serene way of living. The children had the opportunity to express themselves in English and later write their ideas on a project.
