OUR CLASSROOM RULES

There is no better way to establish classroom rules than to do it with our students' collaboration. For this reason, our second graders created their classroom rules.

Students had the chance to practise using Modals "must" and "mustn't" to write sentences as class rules. Scaffolding was provided to facilitate the learning process. In particular, relevant vocabulary was presented to students to help them write the rules as well as different illustrations which students included in their writing activity. 

Such activities promote Communicative Language Teaching and Learning as the teacher's role is that of the facilitator and the learner's role is to participate in classroom activities that are based on a cooperative approach to learning.

We enjoyed working on our cooperative project and we were happy to see the great results of our work.
