"On Thursday, May 14th, the senior classes of my school watched an English play called “The Princess and the Pea”. The play was about a Prince who wanted to get married on Valentine’s Day and his mother, the Queen, who didn’t agree with him. The play began with a Prince on stage. He looked at the audience and asked us to stand up and bow when the Queen arrived on stage. He also showed us a signal with his hands and asked us to repeat the sentences of the actors every time we saw his signal. The play had many popular songs, like Michael Jackson’s “Bad”, Gloria Gaynor’s “I Love You Baby” and James Brown’s “I Feel So Good”. However, the actors were dressed as if they had come out of my history book. The funniest part of the play was when the actors chose children from the audience to play with them. One of them was my sister. When I saw her on stage with an Arabian hat on, I laughed. My favourite part of the play was the end, when the audience stood up to sing and dance with the actors. I will remember this play all my life. I truly felt a part of the performance because the actors spoke with us all the time in the same way as they did with each other."
